Radiation shielding clothing refers to garments made from specialized conductive or metallized fabrics that are engineered to reduce the penetration of electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and radiofrequency (RF) radiation into the body.
These textiles, often woven with silver, copper, nickel, carbon fiber, or other conductive materials, can achieve measurable attenuation of electromagnetic energy, with effectiveness varying by fabric type, weave, and frequency range. Such clothing is sometimes marketed to people who want extra support in environments with heavy wireless signal use.
Clothing using these special fabrics to block EMFs could be jackets, underwear, t-shirts, hats, and more.
