Pranic Healing is a non-invasive form of energy medicine that aims to support well-being by working with the body’s subtle life-force energy, known as prana (a Sanskrit term meaning “life energy” that is also referred to in other traditions as chi or ki).
It is based on the idea that the human energy field (or aura) and energy centers (chakras) influence physical, emotional, and mental health, and that imbalances or blockages in this bio-energetic system can precede or accompany discomfort or imbalance. Practitioners use specific techniques to scan, cleanse, and energize the energy field with prana—without physical contact with the body—to help restore balance and accelerate the body’s natural capacity to self-regulate.
During a typical session, a pranic healer may assess energetic congestion or depletion in the biofield, then use focused movements and intention to clear stagnant or disrupted energy and introduce fresh life-force energy to areas that need support. The practice is often used as a complementary approach alongside conventional care to promote relaxation, emotional balance, and overall vitality, and is taught and practiced in many countries around the world.
