Singing Bowls

Singing bowls are sound-producing instruments traditionally made from metal alloys (such as a mix of copper, tin and other metals) or crystal. They emit rich, resonant tones and sustained vibrations when struck or gently rubbed around the rim with a mallet.

They have a long history in Himalayan, Tibetan and spiritual traditions, where they were used in meditation, ceremonial practice and contemplative settings, and today they are widely embraced in sound healing, mindfulness and relaxation contexts around the world.

When played, the bowl’s tones and overtones can entrain the listener’s attention, calm the nervous system and support a shift into deeper states of focus, presence or relaxation. Many modern sound healing practitioners include singing bowls in sound baths, meditation sessions or energetic clearing rituals to help soothe stress, balance emotional states, and encourage a gentle release of tension in the body and mind.
